As social service agencies and charities brace for the fallout from the the US's economic downturn, Jewish overnight camps already have felt the crunch: They are reporting a dramatic increase in requests for financial aid this summer.

Rise in anti-Semitism
Anti-Semitic incidents on campus has led to an overall rise in anti-Semitic acts in Britain in the first half of 2008. In the first half of 2008, there were 266 anti-Semitic incidents compared to 244 in the same period of 2007.
